Jo Woodcock

Jo is a Partner specialising in litigation. She assists Cherie in leading C&M’s team of lawyers responsible for prosecuting serious crime in Taranaki and Whanganui.

Jo began her legal career as a Registrar at the Wellington District Court before completing her law degree at Victoria University while working part-time for the Ministry of Justice.

Her litigation experience began in 2008 when she started as a Crown Prosecutor in Whanganui under Lance Rowe, now a District Court Judge. She moved to Taranaki in 2013 to work as a barrister in chambers with Paul Keegan KC and later served two years as President of the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Law Society. In 2023, Jo returned to prosecuting for the Crown.

Jo enjoys her downtime at home with her cat Ethel Benjamin, a good movie, and a glass of wine.
